Hey Kids,

Rough Trade

This is a piece by the German artist Joseph Beuys from the Museum of Modern Art in NYC...his work, which deals mostly with man and his relationship(or lack thereof) with the natural world, is beautiful, challenging, and unsentimental. He was an enviromentalist, but not a treehugger.

Nashville to New York

Update: Sideshow Tragedy continues its crawl across the U.S.–good times. Had a little break from the action, thought we’d put up some photos…

No matter where we play, they usually advertise our texas heritage.

Playing at the Basement in Nashville--after the show, Jeremy headed over to the Mercy Lounge to check out Calexico with Grimey.

They sell these giant hobo cans of beer at the Tin Roof in Charleston SC.

We played with our buddies from Austin, Goldcure, in D.C...it was good to see some familiar rockers.

Justin's boots bit the dust on this tour, so we had to ditch'em...luckily, a friendly dude we met along the way gave him a new pair, so his feet are okay.

Got a day off, wanted to post some pics of our first trip across the South…been real fun so far, check it out:

This is Oxford, Mississippi, which is quite a happening town, as it turns out...really nice folks, great food, and music aficianados...

Jeremy's a wee bit tired, livin' on the road and all...

This is turkey, dressing, cranberry sauce, green beans, mashed potatoes and cornbread at Ajax Diner in downtown Oxford...it may be the best meal I've ever had.

Hey kids,

The Sideshow Tragedy has been out for 5 days now…had some great shows, thanks for everyone coming out and supporting…we’re flying without a laptop for the first time in a while, so it’s been a little difficult to get online from time to time, but we’re doin the best we can…tomorrow(well today, actually), we have our first day off, which is oil change for the van, grocery store, etc. and then it’s onward to Little Rock to play the Whitewater Tavern, our favorite bar in America…see you guys on the road, wish us luck…also, if you have half a minute, please cheack out a band from Madison called El Valiente, we played with them last night in Madison, they are INCREDIBLE…love, and see you all soon…

Hello All,

Welcome to the new Sideshow Tragedy website…as you can tell, it’s pretty bare bones right now, but check back often, as we’re adding to it daily…we’ve set this home page up to be a sort of continuing blog, and Me(as well as Justin and Jeremy)will be posting here fairly regularly, especially while on tour, our ruminations on life, poetry, photographic musings, et cetera. So check back often, seriously…and if you are in the Austin area tonight, come out to Momo’s at midnight and hang out with us…
